About me

I enjoy working therapeutically with adults in both individual and couples psychotherapy. I have experience providing psychotherapy to adults experiencing depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, and adjustments to life transitions. My training as a psychotherapist has been within the disciplines of clinical social work and psychoanalytic psychotherapy. I am currently a PhD. student at the Institute for Clinical Social Work. I completed my masters in clinical social work at St Catherine University/University of St. Thomas. I also have completed advanced training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy through a 2-year immersion program as a Clinical Fellow and Trainee at the Minnesota Psychoanalytic Society and Institute (MPSI). As part of this program, I practiced as a therapist from 2015-2017 at the MPSI Psychotherapy Center in Uptown. In August 2017, I opened my private practice.

About therapy

Effective psychotherapy depends on a good relationship between the patient(s) and the therapist. As such, your therapy will involve our collaboration to identify areas of focus and goals to work on. Your reasons for seeking therapy, and the symptoms you are experiencing, will always direct our work together. I view therapy as an ongoing process of identifying the things which emerge across many areas of life. New goals may emerge as things in your life shift and change. I welcome all of your feelings and experiences, and I encourage you to share whatever is on your mind.
