My theoretical orientation
In addition to addressing immediate presenting concerns, I support individuals and couples to work on a deeper level. This may include:
- Recognizing, naming, and experiencing your emotions
- Focusing on your inner experiences in a variety of settings and relationships, both past and present
- Exploring patterns within interpersonal relationships
- Exploring wishes, dreams, and fantasies
- Identifying avoidance of thoughts and feelings which cause pain or distress
- Facing the fear and anxiety that can influence us in unconscious ways
